Green Ocean Technology
Green Ocean Oil Remediation Technology (“GOT”)
Golden Avatar has also developed and offers Green Ocean Technology (“GOT”) oil spill remediation technology, which breaks down crude oil into basic proteins through a process of photo-magnetic resonance. Photo-magnetic resonance disintegrates the molecular bonds of the oil, destructing the harmful construction of oil molecules back into its harmless building-block proteins. It is designed to clean up oil spills while protecting the environment in a safe and cost effective manner.
GOT Application
Studies conducted by the Ministry of Scientific Research from the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF) concluded that G.O.T. has the ability to absorb nitrogen elements together with a result of such reaction that is not harmful and is in fact beneficial to active marine and river life
Need for GOT
Oil persists in the environment with minimum diminishment in toxicity, so that oil which was spilled into our environment 20 years ago is believed to be just as toxic today.
The April 20, 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil disaster, which dumped up to 70,000 barrels of oil per day into the Gulf Stream, highlighted the severe environmental and economic need for a viable oil remediation strategy.
In fact, there have been hundreds of oil spills worldwide since the Deepwater Horizon disaster. It is estimated that there are in excess of seventy aging oil rigs similar to the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf, and that a similar fate awaits much of the world’s oceans.
Replacing Dispersants
Dispersants do not remove oil from the water, and common dispersants, such as Corexit, have been found to be toxic to clean-up workers and wildlife. Health effects of dispersants include: headaches; nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; abdominal pains; dizziness; chest pains and tightness; irritation of the eyes, nose, throat and lungs; difficulty breathing; respiratory system damage; skin irrigation and sensitization; hypertension; central nervous system depression; neurotoxic effects; genetic damage and mutations; and cardiac arrhythmia and cardiovascular damage.
Unlike toxic, expensive dispersants, environmentally friendly G.O.T. transforms oil into harmless protein and is effective on land, sea and river water environments.
Economy
The method of application is economically superior to conventional systems and is safer as well as faster acting in fighting pollutants with non-toxics. G.O.T. offers a significant opportunity for liability mitigation to large oil companies.
